Abstract:
Three applications are demonstrated that use the Android framework for application-centric IoT application development presented in the plenary session. By using the framework, the IoT devices used by the application can be easily replaced by devices from other vendors with similar functionality without changing the application logic. The first application uses a light sensor to adjust the brightness of a lamp based on the detected light intensity. The second application relies on a presence sensor to activate and deactivate a smart lamp based on motion. The third application uses a temperature sensor to change the color of a lamp based on the temperature.
