Abstract:
The growing complexity and internationalization of the logistic flows, feeds the need to realize a reliable link between the physical logistic and digital information flows. It’s imperative for businesses to innovate new ways to streamline their supply chain and optimize productivity. End-to-end supply chain visibility empowers supply chain and logistics managers to make educated decisions. It helps companies to decrease the impact of disruptions on the supply chain by providing actionable data. The deployment of advanced technology (RFID, RTLS, IOT, software agents,…) and open communication platforms (cloud based) are necessary to manage and control the supply chain processes efficient, flexible and reliable.
